The cluster of birches planted in front of the embassy complex provided the impetus for the sound installation. By attaching loudspeakers in the treetops, the birches are given "voices" with which, for the duration of the exhibition, they can make themselves heard. Altogether, these voices form a soft sound cloud that moves between the individual trees. In this manner the birches are released from their everyday architectural context, receive their own "voices" and thus hold a value of their own.
