Nature Spectacles - Norwegian Graphic Design Powered by Nature

At this years DMY International Design Festival Berlin, the Norwegian Embassy in collaboration with the Berlin agency Himmel & Jord is presenting Norwegian graphic design with inspiration, references and elements from nature.
Most Germans associate spectacular landscapes and pristine nature with Norway. For Norwegians, life with and in nature is an important aspect of their self-image and general attitude towards life. Graphic designers living and working in Norway are also not immune to the beauty of nature and the multifaceted landscape. Parallel to the rational minimalism commonly associated with Scandinavian design, a trend has developed in Norwegian graphic design in which elements of nature flow into the works in stylised and naturalistic structures and patterns. They are interpreted anew and referred to in surprising contexts, and dream and fantasy worlds come into being.
