Jensen & Skodvin Arkitektkontor as, Oslo
Until the 28th of June the Norwegian Embassy is showcasing
projects designed by the Oslo architects Jensen & Skodvin
Arkitektkontor as. Characteristic for the approach of the architects is
their respectful attitude toward nature.
This attitude is especially evident in such internationally renowned
projects as Mortensrud Church, the Tautra Maria Convent as well as in
their designs for the internationally acclaimed "National Tourist
Routes" project of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. Among
other things, Jensen & Skodvin have designed tourist paths, viewing
platforms and bridges as well as a "landscape hotel" in Gundbrandsjuvet
in the province of Sunnmøre in Western Norway.
In 2008 Jensen & Skodvin received the German Erich Schelling
Architecture Prize. Their design of the Bad Gleichenberg Kurhaus in
Austria and the Gudbrandsjuvet project were nominated for the Mies van
der Rohe Prize 2009.
The exhibit shows selected buildings designed by Jensen & Skodvin on photo panels and in drawings and videos.
