»An Invisible SUCCESS« & »New Men in Denmark«

26.04.10- 24.05.10

The Invisible Success & New Men in Denmark are two series of portraits of ethnic minority men and women living in Denmark. The portraits tell the unique and very personal stories of people who have left their own countries behind. The stories focus on their dreams, ambitions and successes. But also on the difficulties in finding a place and identity in a foreign country like Denmark where prejudice and stereotyped views on ethnic minorities may become a barrier.

"You should try to understand people's roots rather than cutting them over" - Rosa Grinberg

"I will be judged on my skills and not on my ethnicity" - Azam Javadi

"My dual cultural background is a privilege. Without it I would be a dull man!" - Khaled Ramadan, video artist and curator
"If my children are called third-generation immigrants, so I move from here" - Ahmad Jihad Hamada, medical students
